Fresh & Safe Vegetables was founded resulting from a village women empowerment project by United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) in Cambodia. The program aims to improve rural community’s economic base development through promotion of women business groups and information communication technologies (ICT).
The program was implemented by The Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) of Sookmyung Women's University from Republic of Korea, in cooperation with local partner organizations, including Farmer Livelihood Development Cambodia.
Female farmers were provided with trainings on entrepreneurship building and utilization of ICT to market products.
